I receive the error: 'The operation cannot be performed because the pins are not connected.($8004020). What does this mean and how to solve it?

Answer:

This error message is caused when the needed coded (a little driver needed to play the video format) cannot be located on your system. The solution can be found in the codec downloads section. If you have this problem with a lot of video files, you may need a codec pack.

After installation of a suitable codec for your video format, the problem is solved.
